Baldamar Palacio MARTINEZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on January 7, 2026, in San Angelo, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents, along with the San Angelo Police Department, located and arrested MARTINEZ. In 1997, MARTINEZ was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child following an incident involving a 9-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to 20 years confinement in TDCJ and released on parole in 2015. In 2016, MARTINEZ was convicted of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements and sentenced to six years’ probation. In 2023, he was convicted of Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle and received 10 years’ probation.MARTINEZ had been wanted since September 2025, when a warrant was issued for his arrest out of Tom Green County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.MARTINEZ’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
