Oscar Antonio GUTIERREZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on October 31, 2025, in Brownsville, Texas.Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested GUTIERREZ.In 2021, GUTIERREZ was convicted of Attempted Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact following an incident with a 9-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to 2 years confinement. In 2023, GUTIERREZ was convicted of Possession of Controlled Substance and subsequently sentenced to 1 year confinement. GUTIERREZ had been wanted since June 2025, when a warrant was issued out of Cameron County for his arrest for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.GUTIERREZ’ arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
