Spencer Mandell GIRON, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on October 8, 2025, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Working off investigative information, Texas DPS Special Agents from Beaumont coordinated with the Lake Charles Police Department in Louisiana regarding GIRON’s possible whereabouts, ultimately resulting in the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by GIRON. Following the traffic stop, GIRON was taken into custody without incident.In 1998, GIRON was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child following an incident with a 13-year-old girl. He was subsequently sentenced to 11 years confinement. In 2017, GIRON was convicted federally of Dangerous Drugs and subsequently sentenced to 4 years federal confinement. GIRON had been wanted since June 2025, when a warrant was issued for his arrest out of Jefferson County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.GIRON’s capture was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
