On Wednesday, July 30, 2003, the San Angelo Police Department responded to 1818 Shady Point Circle in San Angelo. Upon arrival, officers found Christopyer Hayes laying deceased in the living room. Hayes had suffered gun shot wounds from close range. According to the victim's girlfriend, she had arrived home earlier in the evening with her two children and was confronted by an unknown male inside the residence. The male subject forced the girlfriend and her children to lie on the floor until the arrival of Hayes, at which time Hayes was ambushed by the subject.
