On Saturday, 05/27/1995 Carolyn Kolas was found deceased, partially nude in an alley near the 3000 block of West Ohio Street in Midland. Carolyn was on her routine morning walk in the neighborhood when she was attacked. Carolyn was looking forward to her upcoming graduation from nursing school. At the time of her death she was the proud mother of two, a two year old and a nine year old. Investigators followed the clues but the case eventually went cold. The Midland Police Department and the Texas Rangers have not given up on solving this case. Recently investigators have reignited the search for the person(s) responsible through updated technology and investigative methods.
