DETAILS:

On August 31st 1983, the body of 19 year old Susan Lee Eads was found in a vacant lot near Nasa Road 1 and Elam Street in Seabrook, Texas. Her 1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was found in the parking lot of the Gulf States Yachts boat store (now out of business) very near to where her body was found.

Susan worked at the Prickly Pear Bar in Webster and also worked part-time for Charlie’s Bar in Nassau Bay. Susan was last seen leaving her job in Nassau Bay on the night of August the 30th. Susan was wearing her Clear Lake High School Class ring and a gold necklace that were never recovered. Numerous leads were developed early on in the investigation but ultimately, the case turned cold.

UPDATE:
In May 2020, the offender was identified in this case. After an exhaustive investigation, by the Texas Rangers, Seabrook Police Department, and the FBI, Arthur Lee Davis, 35, has been named as the killer of Susan Eads. DNA research, including scientific examinations by the Texas DPS Crime Lab, played a crucial role in bringing this case to a close.

Arthur Davis was killed in a one-vehicle traffic crash in January 1984, approximately four months after the murder.
