Toni Ann Ackerman lived and worked in the Seguin area from 1985 to 1992. She was 26 years old at the time of her murder. She was newly married when she was shot to death the night of August 18, 1992 at about 11:00 PM. Motorists discovered Toni on the shoulder of FM 775 about five miles west of Seguin, Texas. She was still alive but perished minutes later. Witnesses shared information that Toni was last seen with a male subject in the area of W. Kingsbury in Seguin, TX that same night at about 10:15 PM.
