76 year-old Retired Correctional Officer Riley Floyd Thomas was reported missing by his ex-daughter-in-law on 04-06-2000. Riley Thomas was described as “homebound” and suffered from Parkinson’s disease and congestive heart failure. He was last seen with his son, Richard Thomas, with whom he lived. Richard moved to Oklahoma at or around the time of Riley’s disappearance. Richard claimed to have placed Riley on a bus in Lufkin, Texas destined for Port Arthur, Texas. Richard was later convicted of forging his father’s name in order to cash his father’s checks. Riley Thomas has never been located and is presumed deceased. Foul play is suspected.
