Willie James BRUMFIELD, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on February 27, 2020, in Houston, Texas. Working off information from tips, BRUMFIELD was located and apprehended by DPS Special Agents, along with other members of the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force, including the Houston Police Department, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Attorney General’s Office.BRUMFIELD had been wanted since March 2018 after warrants were issued in Harris County for his arrest for Trafficking of Child, Compelling Prostitution, and Evading Arrest or Detention. In October 2019, an additional warrant was issued in Harris County for BRUMFIELD's arrest for Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.BRUMFIELD was also on the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Most Wanted list.The arrest was the result of several Crime Stoppers tips, and multiple rewards were paid.
