CAPTURE DETAILS:

Paulo Sandalio GUILLEN, affiliated with a clique of the Tango Blast gang, was detained on July 19, 2018, in Matamoros, Mexico, by Mexican Government Officials as the result of a fugitive investigation conducted by members of the USMS Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force. GUILLEN was transported to the U.S. by Mexican Government Officials by way of the Brownsville Gateway International Bridge.In 2010, GUILLEN was convicted in Travis County of Aggravated Assault and Burglary of a Habitation and sentenced to TDCJ prison. He subsequently was sentenced to TDCJ prison. GUILLEN was released on parole from TDCJ in 2015. In June 2017, GUILLEN was arrested by the Austin Police Department for Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by Felon after he evaded arrest in a vehicle. In August 2017, GUILLEN was federally indicted and a warrant for Felon in Possession of Firearm was issued for his arrest. An additional warrant was issued for GUILLEN’s arrest after he failed to appear for his court date in August 2017.GUILLEN had also been wanted for Parole Violation by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers.
