CAPTURE DETAILS:

Bobby Michael DENNIS, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on November 5, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., near Cuney, Texas, located in Cherokee County. DENNIS had been wanted since November 2, 2025, for his alleged involvement in the shooting of a Jacksonville Police Department Officer and K9. The Officer and K9 were both wounded in the shooting. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Texas DPS Aircraft Operations Division (AOD), Texas Rangers, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, TDCJ, and TPWD, all assisted the Jacksonville Police Department in serving a search warrant at a property on CR 3509 West of the Jacksonville city limits for the apprehension of DENNIS. DENNIS was immediately located in a wooded area and surrendered to law enforcement.DENNIS is charged with Attempted Capital Murder of a Peace Officer (1st Degree Felony), Interference with Police Service Animal (State Jail Felony), and two counts of Obstruction or Retaliation (3rd Degree Felony).
