David THOMAS, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on May 17, 2023, after the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested him in Lubbock, Texas.In 1982, THOMAS, a high-risk sex offender, was convicted of Burglary of a Habitation with the Intent to Violate or Abuse the Victim Sexually following an incident involving a 15-year-old girl. He subsequently was sentenced to five years’ confinement in prison. In 1989, he was convicted of the same offense, this time against an 11-year-old girl, and was sentenced to another ten years’ confinement. In the early 1990s, THOMAS was convicted of Theft and received a 25-year sentence in prison. In 2002, he was convicted of Robbery and sentenced to five years’ confinement. He was discharged from TDCJ prison in 2017.THOMAS had been wanted since March 21, 2023, after the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.THOMAS' arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so a reward was paid to a tipster.
