Albert Lerose TURNER, Jr., a high-risk sex offender, was taken into custody on April 23, 2018, in Houston, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and apprehended TURNER without incident at an apartment complex in southwest Houston.In 1978, TURNER received a 99-year sentence in TDCJ after he was convicted in Harris County of Aggravated Rape. The victim was a 27-year-old female. In addition, TURNER was also convicted in 1978 of four counts of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle. TURNER was released on parole from TDCJ in 2008. TURNER had been wanted for Parole Violation since December 2016 after he failed to report to TDCJ Parole in Houston.The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
