Brandon Neal LUERA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on November 27, 2023, in Lubbock, Texas. Working off tip information received, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested LUERA.In 2002, LUERA was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault following an incident involving an 11-year-old girl. He subsequently received a five-year sentence of confinement in TDCJ prison. Since 2016, he has served time in TDCJ prison for multiple felonies, including Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.LUERA had been wanted since April 2023, when the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, in June 2023, a warrant was issued out of Lubbock County for his arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.LUERA's arrest was from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so a reward was paid.
