Juan FAVELA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on December 13, 2022, in Anthony, New Mexico. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested FAVELA. Texas DPS Air Support, Anthony Police Department, and the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office all assisted in the multi-agency investigation.FAVELA had been wanted since May 9, 2022, after the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office issued warrants for his arrest for eight counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and eight counts of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact.FAVELA’s arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
