CAPTURE DETAILS:

Jose Cuellar OLVERA, a convicted sex offender, was captured on January 30, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested OLVERA without incident at an apartment complex on the southwest side of San Antonio.In 2000, OLVERA was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault after an incident in Bell County involving a 12-year-old girl. He subsequently was sentenced to 15 years in TDCJ prison. OLVERA was last released from TDCJ prison in August 2014.OLVERA had been wanted since May 2017 by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was also wanted for Assault by SAPD.The arrest was not from a tip received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
