Jose Luis GARZA, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive affiliated with the West Texas Tangos gang, was taken into custody on February 21, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas.Working off investigative information, members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and apprehended GARZA near an apartment complex in Lubbock. Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office and Lubbock Police Department provided assistance.GARZA was incarcerated in TDCJ prison from 2009 through March 2017 after receiving convictions in Lubbock County for Aggravated Assault and Burglary of a Habitation.GARZA had been wanted by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Burglary of a Habitation) since July 2017.The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
