CAPTURE DETAILS:

Fernando RAMIREZ, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, was captured on November 3, 2021, in Odessa, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents, Texas Highway Patrol, and the Odessa Police Department located and arrested RAMIREZ at an apartment complex. In 2014, he was convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and sentenced to 10 years’ probation. In 2017, his probation was revoked and he was sentenced to five years’ confinement. He was released on parole in January 2020. RAMIREZ had been wanted since February 14, 2020, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. On October 12, 2020, the San Benito Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest for misdemeanor Criminal Mischief. On July 21, 2021, DPS Weslaco issued two warrants for his arrest for misdemeanor Evading Arrest and Possession of Marijuana. Additionally, on August 31, 2021, the Ector County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest for Burglary of a Habitation. The arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
