CAPTURE DETAILS:

Xavier Montreal BENARD, affiliated with the 52 Hoover Gangster Crips gang, was captured on September 3, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Working off investigative information, members of the USMS Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested BENARD at a location on the north side of Houston. In addition, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) TAC Unit, Texas Highway Patrol, TDCJ OIG, and the Fort Bend County DA’s Office all provided assistance in the multi-agency investigation.In 2005, BENARD was convicted of Aggravated Robbery and sentenced to 4 years’ confinement in a TDCJ prison. In 2016, BENARD was convicted of two counts of Manufacturing/Delivering a Controlled Substance, while in 2018 he was convicted of Firearm Smuggling. He was released on parole in May 2019. BENARD had been wanted since October 4, 2019, after the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a Parole Violation warrant for his arrest. Additionally, on October 7, 2019, the HCSO issued a warrant for his arrest for Failure to Appear (Original Offense: Promoting Prostitution with Previous Conviction).The arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
