Damon Lance ROSE, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on January 29, 2019, in Temple, Texas. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents and Troopers apprehended ROSE without incident near a residence in Temple. The Bell County Sheriff’s Office provided assistance.ROSE is a violent offender with a criminal history consisting of convictions for Aggravated Rape, Aggravated Robbery, and Burglary of a Habitation. In 1981, ROSE was convicted of Aggravated Rape after an incident in Dallas County. He subsequently was sentenced to life in TDCJ prison. ROSE was released on parole in 2012 from TDCJ prison and is required to register as a sex offender for life.ROSE had been wanted since December 30, 2018, when the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Aggravated Rape).The arrest was not from tip information received through Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
