The Presentations will be completed ahead of time and posted online. An email will be sent to all registered attendees with a link to the Presentations. Attendees are encouraged to print out hard copies of the Presentations to bring to the conference and follow along with the speakers. We look forward to seeing you in March and providing you with the most up to date Criminal and Juvenile Justice Information Systems Reporting processes.

Law Enforcement, District and County Attorneys, District and County Court Clerks, Adult and Juvenile Probation and District and County Judges can all find valuable information at the DPS CJIS Conference.

Conference Registration

To register, click on the Conference Registration link above or below. Please fill out all of the information completely. Once your registration information has been received and confirmed, you will receive email verification that you are registered to attend the conference. Please bring the email verification with you to the conference in March.

There is no registration fee for this conference. Attendees will be responsible for the cost of their hotel rooms and meals.

The 2020 CJIS Conference Registration runs from 12/01/2019 to 02/21/2020 and is limited to 600 seats, so please make sure you register early.

Substitutions

Substitute attendees will be accepted for participants that cannot attend with written notice only (email, fax or mail). The deadline for substitutions is 02/21/2020.

Cancellations

In the event you are unable to attend the conference, please refer to the email you received when you registered for instructions on how to cancel your registration.

Attendance Requirements

You will be given an attendance card with your registration packet upon check-in at the conference. At the close of each session attended, the instructor or session monitor will initial your card, verifying your attendance of the session. Duplicate attendance cards cannot be issued, please keep track of your card for the duration of the conference. At the conclusion of the conference, or at the time that you depart, bring the attendance card and the attendance certificate to the registration desk. The hours of courses attended will be calculated and entered onto the attendance certificate and the certificate will be signed by a CJIS Field Auditor.

Accreditation

DPS will submit TCOLE training credit for conference attendance. If you are with another accreditation entity, you will need to contact the crediting board for that entity for instructions on obtaining training credit.

Hotel Reservations

Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center has a limited number of rooms available for our attendees. The room rates are: $96/night for both single and double occupancy with a 13.00% tax (state plus local taxes, subject to change) - additional adults in a room would be $10 per person per night. Room rates are based on the Government per diem. Should the Government per diem be higher at the time of the conference, the prevailing per diem rate will apply. The conference is being held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center hotel.

  • Please state that you are attending the ‘DPS CJIS Conference’ to ensure you receive the correct room rate.
  • The hotel reservation deadline is February 8, 2020 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
  • All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card supplied at the time of the reservation.
  • Refer to your reservation confirmation to verify the cancellation policy for your stay.
  • All reservations and cancellations are made directly between the attendee and the hotel.
  • DPS is not responsible for any reservations, confirmations or cancellations.
