Melinda Gail MOORE, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was captured on May 15, 2019. Working off investigative information, DPS Special Agents apprehended MOORE at a location in Beaumont, Texas.In 1999, MOORE was convicted in Smith County of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident involving a 5-year-old girl. She was subsequently sentenced to 25 years in TDCJ prison.MOORE was released on parole in March 2017 and is required to register as a sex offender on an annual basis for life. In 2018, MOORE absconded from her last known address in Beaumont.MOORE had been wanted since December 3, 2018, after a Parole Violation warrant (Original Offense: Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child) was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. In addition, MOORE was also wanted out of Jefferson County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.The arrest was not from tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
