Danny JOHNSON, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender affiliated with the Aryan Circle gang, was captured on October 20, 2021, near Gilmer, Texas.Working off tip information, law enforcement authorities from Gilmer Police Department and Upshur County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested JOHNSON at a location in western Upshur County.In 2000, JOHNSON was convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident involving a 14-year-old girl and was sentenced to seven years’ confinement. In 2009, he was convicted of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was given a two-year sentence. In 2013, JOHNSON was arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident involving a 12-year-old girl. He was subsequently convicted of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact and sentenced to two years’ confinement. JOHNSON had been wanted since March 24, 2021, after the Camp County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for JOHNSON’s arrest for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. JOHNSON was also wanted out of Franklin and Titus counties on multiple warrants. JOHNSON’s arrest was the result of tip information received through Crime Stoppers and a reward was paid.
