Billy Wayne GILLILAND, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive and member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas gang, was taken into custody without incident on April 14, 2017, at a residence in Cloverleaf, Texas (eastern Harris County).
Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division Special Agents, Texas DPS Highway Patrol, and Harris County Sheriff's Office were all involved in the apprehension of GILLILAND.
In 1988, GILLILAND received a life sentence for Murder in Liberty County. He was released on parole from TDCJ prison in March 2014.
On October 5, 2016, GILLILAND was placed at the Austin Transitional Center in Del Valle, Texas, but he subsequently absconded from the facility. As a result, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation on October 26, 2016.
GILLILAND was also wanted by Dayton PD in Liberty County for Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle stemming from an incident in which he fled from officers on a motorcycle.
The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.
