Jose Julio ARCE, Jr.,a convicted sex offender, was captured on January 25, 2017, in Kirby,Texas, located near San Antonio. ARCE was taken intocustody by a Texas DPS Special Agent and a Bexar County Sheriff's Deputy. ARCE hasties to San Antonio and Laredo, and has had past affiliation with theTexas Mexican Mafia gang.
In 1999, ARCE wasconvicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident in BexarCounty involving a 9-year-old female. He subsequently was sentenced to 10 yearsin TDCJ prison.
ARCE has a history of convictions for failing to register as a sex offender. In addition, he was arrested in April 2009 for Alien Smuggling.
ARCE had been wanted out of Bexar County since July 2016 for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The arrest was not the result of tip information received, so no reward will be paid.
