The Texas Emergency Management Advisory Committee (TEMAC) serves as the overarching communication sounding board in the effort to diminish communication overlap and improve communications between all entities. TEMAC serves to facilitate processes and better advise the TDEM chief for the state of Texas. Legislatively mandated councils and task forces, as per mandate, focus on issues that have been assigned per the Texas Legislature.
