2019 FBI NIBRS Regional Trainings

With the passage of HB11 in the 84th Legislative Session, the law enforcement community in Texas has been challenged to move from the old Summary Reporting System (SRS) of Uniform Crime Reporting to the much more detailed National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) by September 1, 2019.

The Department of Public Safety in collaboration with the FBI will host a series of free training sessions conducted by the regional FBI trainer around the state to assist agencies in making the transition to meet this goal. These workshops will cover the following topics:

Invitational Travel Agreement/Other Required Paperwork

As part of the legislature's commitment to meeting the 2019 deadline, funds were allocated to the Department to conduct statewide NIBRS trainings to assist local agencies with the transition to NIBRS. These funds will not only be used to conduct the training but also to reimburse attendees to these regional meetings to cover a wide variety of costs associated with attendance. Registration

To register, please go to the 2019 Regional NIBRS Training Registration. You may attend any location you like; however, there are seating limitations with each site and locations will fill up on a first-come-first-serve basis.

If you need to cancel a reservation or replace an individual, please email UCR Regional Training with the name(s) to be removed from the reservation list and have the new personnel complete the registration.
