CAPTURE DETAILS:

Rogelio GARCIA Jr., a confirmed member of the Latin Kings gang and a registered sex offender, was taken into custody on February 17, 2016, in Mission, Texas. Mission Police Department located and arrested GARCIA at a residence in Mission.

In 1998, GARCIA was convicted of raping a 14 year-old girl in South Dakota. He subsequently received a 4 year-sentence in the South Dakota State Penitentiary. In 2008,GARCIA was convicted on multiple counts of Burglary of Habitation in Hidalgo County and sentenced to TDCJ prison. While serving his sentence, GARCIA was involved in an incident of Sexual Misconduct. In February 2015, GARCIA was paroled from TDCJ to Hidalgo County where he was required to wear an electronic ankle monitor. He absconded a short time later.

GARCIA has been convicted in the past in Texas for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.

GARCIA had been wanted since March 17, 2015, when the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for Parole Violation.
