CAPTURE DETAILS: On September 9, 2014, John GUEVARA, a confirmed member of the Texas Mexican Mafia gang, was taken into custody without incident at a residence in Victoria, Texas, by the Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID).

GUEVARA has an extensive criminal history, including a Burglary of a Building conviction in 1989. He repeatedly violated his parole throughout the 1990s and was convicted in 1997 of Aggravated Robbery for an incident that occurred in Hallettsville, Texas. He received an 18-year sentence in TDCJ prison and served 15 years before being paroled in 2012.

On May 30, 2013, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for GUEVARA's arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Aggravated Robbery).

The arrest was the result of tip information received and a reward of up to $7,500 will be paid.
