On February 15, 2013, at approximately 5:00 pm, police in Grapevine, Texas, responded to a residential burglary and discovered the theft of men's clothing and jewelry. Because of the stolen clothes, law enforcement suspected that the burglary may have been committed by Alberto MORALES. The search for MORALES was subsequently refocused in the area where the burglary occurred. With the assistance of a Fort Worth Police Department helicopter, law enforcement located MORALES just before midnight in a wooded area. A foot pursuit ensued, during which MORALES was shot and killed by officers.
