CAPTURE DETAILS:

Raul GONZALEZ, Jr., added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list on May 15, 2017, was taken into custody on May 25, 2017, at a residence in north Dallas.

In 1999, GONZALEZ was convicted in Tarrant County of Sexual Assault of a Child for an incident involving a 15-year-old girl. He subsequently received a 10-year sentence in TDCJ prison.

In July 2016, GONZALEZ was released on parole after serving time for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. As part of his parole requirements, he was required to wear a GPS ankle monitoring device and to report to a Fort Worth facility.  However, GONZALEZ failed to report to the facility and knowingly and intentionally cut off his ankle monitor.

On July 27, 2016, a parole warrant for GONZALEZ's arrest was issued by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles. On September 2, 2016, the Fort Worth Police Department issued an additional warrant of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the following methods:
• Call the Texas Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477) • Text the letters "DPS"- followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) • Submit a web tip through the Texas 10 Most Wanted website or Facebook page • Submit a tip through the DPS Mobile App
All tips are anonymous – regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
Callers’ anonymity is guaranteed by law and you could earn up to the CASH REWARD amount listed for each fugitive.
These fugitives should be considered Armed and Dangerous! Never try to apprehend a fugitive yourself.
