CAPTURE DETAILS: Randy Jay HOFSTETTER, added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender Program on July 8, 2014, has been taken into custody. He was posted with a reward of up to $5,000 for specific information resulting in his arrest. On the morning of July 18, 2014, HOFSTETTER turned himself into the Montague County Sheriff’s Office and was taken into custody.

In September 2009, Randy HOFSTETTER was convicted on 3 counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child for incidents in Hopkins County involving an 8-year-old girl. As a result of the conviction, he was ordered to register as a sex offender quarterly for life. On January 14, 2014, a Probation Violation warrant (Original Offense: Aggravated Sexual Assault Child) was issued out of Hopkins County for his arrest. On January 31, 2014, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for Parole Violation.

The arrest was not from tip information received, so no reward will be paid.
