CAPTURE DETAILS: Leo COLSTON was taken into custody on July 10, 2014 in the Mission District of downtown Los Angeles, California. His apprehension was the result of a multi-agency investigative effort, involving the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Texas Department of Public Safety, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, and Los Angeles Police Department. COLSTON was added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list on June 9, 2014.

In 2002, Leo COLSTON was convicted of Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact for an incident in Houston involving a 7-year-old girl.

In April 2013, the U.S. Marshals Service issued a warrant for COLSTON's arrest for Sex Offender Registration Violation. Additional warrants for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender were issued by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office in May 2013 and by the Los Angeles Police Department in August 2013.

COLSTON was from the Nacogdoches, Texas area. COLSTON faces federal charges and awaits extradition back to Texas.
