CAPTURE DETAILS: Robert Charles GRUNSFELD was added to the most wanted sex offender list on November 25, 2013. He was added with a reward amount up to $3,000 for information leading to his arrest.

As a result of investigation, the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office in McAlester, Oklahoma captured Robert Charles GRUNSFELD at approximately 5:00 PM on November 25, 2013, at a fast food restaurant located in McAlester, OK. GRUNSFELD was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office in McAlester, OK.

He was wanted for felony failure to comply with civil commitment requirements. His criminal history included one conviction for aggravated sexual assault and two convictions for sexual assault. In 2010, GRUNSFELD was required to live at a Dallas halfway house to participate in the civil commitment program. On November 22, 2013, GRUNSFELD violated his civil commitment requirement by intentionally cutting off his ankle monitor and absconding from the halfway house in Dallas, TX.

The arrest was not the result of tip information received, so no reward will be paid.
