CAPTURE DETAILS:

Everett RAINEY, a high-risk sex offender, was captured during the late afternoon on May 23, 2017, at a bus station in west San Antonio. Members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force took RAINEY into custody without incident.
In October 2011, RAINEY was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault for an incident in Caldwell County in which he and four other male subjects violently sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl at a residence in Reedville, Texas (east of San Marcos).
On January 20, 2017, the 421st District Court in Caldwell County issued a warrant for RAINEY's arrest for Probation Violation. On March 9, 2017, the Austin Police Department issued an additional warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.
