CAPTURE DETAILS:

Zachary Aaron JENKINS was taken into custody on December 14, 2016, at a residence in Springfield, Missouri. Working off information received from Texas DPS Special Agents, officers from the Springfield Police Department (SPD) Special Response Team surrounded a residence JENKINS was believed to be in. JENKINS eventually surrendered to police and he was taken into custody.
In July 2015, JENKINS was convicted of Indecency with a Child - Sexual Contact after an incident in Tarrant County involving a 9-year-old girl. He received 10 years' probation but soon after failed to meet the requirements of his probation and his duty to register as a sex offender.
On July 23, 2015, the Tarrant County SO issued a warrant for JENKINS' arrest for Probation Violation. On August 3, 2015, the Hurst PD issued an additional warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. JENKINS was also wanted out of Harris County, Fort Bend County, and Hays County for Forgery and Fraud.
The arrest was not the result of tip information received through Crime Stoppers, so no reward will be paid.
