Jose Manuel AVALOS, added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive list on June 12, 2015, was taken into custody without incident on June 18, 2015, at a residence in San Angelo, Texas. The Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and Tom Green County Sheriff's Office were involved in the arrest.

AVALOS, a confirmed Texas Mexican Mafia gang member, has a violent criminal history consisting of numerous arrests for burglary, robbery, and assault.

In 1992, AVALOS was convicted in Tom Green County of Burglary of a Habitation and subsequently received an 18-year sentence in TDCJ prison. He was last released from TDCJ custody in December 2008.

In June 2011, AVALOS was arrested for federal probation violation. He was last released from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in May 2012.

On September 5, 2014, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for AVALOS' arrest for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Burglary of a Habitation).

The arrest was not the result of Crime Stoppers tip information received, so no reward will be paid.
