CAPTURE DETAILS:

Dennis Ray SANDOVAL, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was taken into custody following a foot pursuit on June 6, 2015, near the Oak Cliff area in Dallas, Texas. The Leon County Sheriff's Office coordinated efforts with the US Marshals Service North Texas Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend SANDOVAL. On May 24, 2015, SANDOVAL had escaped from custody after being arrested in Freestone County.

In May 2012, SANDOVAL was convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child after an incident in Dallas County involving a 14-year-old female. He was sentenced to two years in TDCJ prison and required to register as a sex offender.

Freestone County Sheriff's Office had issued warrants for SANDOVAL's arrest for Bond Forfeiture (Original Offense: Forgery) and Escape While Arrested/Confined. The Leon County Sheriff's Office had issued a warrant for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration Requirements.

The arrest was the result of tip information received through Texas Crime Stoppers and a reward will be paid.
