On March 12, 2015, Daniel Carroll WRIGHT, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, was taken into custody in Beaumont, Texas, by the Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division. WRIGHT was then transported to the Harris County Jail in downtown Houston, Texas.

WRIGHT had been wanted out of Harris County for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration and also wanted by the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles for Parole Violation (Original Offense: Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child).

In 1984, WRIGHT was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child for an incident involving an 8-year-old female. He was sentenced to 50 years in TDCJ prison.

In 2003, WRIGHT was paroled from TDCJ and subsequently registered as a sex offender in Beaumont, Texas. Later that same year, he was arrested and convicted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and served time in TDCJ prison until his parole in June 2014.

The arrest was the result of tip information received and a reward will be paid.
